Act one
Act one
Arthur has ambitions for Crofts Limited and Birling and Company (the smaller of the two firms), though they are currently competitors, to work together at some point in the future, as a result of Sheila and Gerald's marriage.
Arthur Birling is extremely intrigue in the marriage with Gerlad Croft and Shelia Birling because he sees a high pay in his business, and hes also exicted for working together with Mrs Croft and Mr Croft. This is seen in the line " ...forward to the time when Crofts and Birlings are no loner competing but are working together - for lower costs and higher prices."
