An Inspector Calls

What affect does the inspector have on Eric and Gerald while they are alone?

Wats the inspectors say or do when they are put of the room?

what is the inpectors behaviour or what is he thinking?

We are not apprised of the character's feelings, as their "alone" time is spent off stage. None-the-less, we can easily surmise from Eric's return that he spent time soul searching, as he returns pale, reflective, and sorry for his part in Eva's death. Gerald, on the other hand, has been thinking hard, and in turn, investigating the investigator. In essence, rather than taking responsibility for his own part in the story, he searches for excuses and exoneration.
