When Rashad is freed from the hospital, the situation is far from his control. Quinn decides to take his story public. The student protest is a "die-in" where students lay on the ground while someone reads a roll-call of the absent (those who have been killed by police). The two boys finally encounter each other silently, gazing at each other while the "die-in" names are read.
