Some soldiers, like Hig Phillip, paid people to fight in their stead. Phillip had no family or any malady that made fighting difficult. The ex-soldiers killed him.

Hig Philips was a lazy man and he hired a substitute to go to war for him. But it was not liked by others as he was healthy enough to go to war . So one night some soldiers who were angry on him came and murdered him. But it was an act of lawlessness.
