He visits Devon School and the First Academy Building in chapter 1.

No! He goes back in his mind 15 years to when he was at the Devon School. He visits the tree where Finny broke his leg when he fell out, and he visits the marble steps where Finny fell down and ended up dying from his bone marrow escaping into his blood and going to his heart, stopping it. He graduated in the class of 1943 by the way too.:)
