Well that would depend on how the book made you feel and what you connected with. My connections with the book are likely different from yours. Mine were in the characters rather than plot. I liked Gene. He was complex and his motivations were not always clear. Really adolescence is a tough time and Gene's complexities sometimes reminded me of my own.
