Grandma Dowdel takes certain items that belong to Effie to the rummage sale.... items that belonged to Abe and Mary Lincoln. As a result, she stops the foreclosure on her land and proposes the house be made into a museum. Thus, Grandma doesn't save all the land, but she does save Effie's house.
