How is Scrooge's nephew different from Scrooge?

Scrooge's nephew, Fred, is actually his polar opposite. Fred is happy, joyful, full of love and charity. He doesn't worry about money and has happily married the woman he loves. Regardless of how Scrooge treats him, Fred is respectful and open.... he is a generous man.
