1. Star girl and Catcher in the Rye

How do these two books work together, Star Girl and Catcher in the Rye? Do they have similar themes? Are the protagonists of the novels similar?

I think both works have a protagonist that is unique and outcast from mainstream society. Both are coming of age stories. Holden is perhaps a little darker than Stargirl Caraway but they both process life differently than societal expectations would have them to.
