Critically evaluate the sacrifice of Bema in the short story "Africa Kills her Sun" by Ken Saro Wiwa.

As Bana and his friends face their executions, Bana's sacrifice can hardly be seen as a stand against corruption in his country. Bana doesn't actually believe that his death will serve a purpose... he isn't trying to prove a pint, and he does not believe that his actions will serve to further illuminate those around him. Bana's sacrifice is in its own way a selfish.... Bana is without hope for the future, and his pending execution is seen as a way out of an irreversible situation.
