Why has Helmholtz been in trouble with the authorities?

Why has Helmholtz been in trouble with the authorities? What is the theme of the poem that he wrote? What is unusual about the structure of the poem in the context of the other rhymes composed for conditioning? What was Helmholtz’s purpose for writing it? Who reported him?

Helmholtz has gotten into trouble while Bernard entertained. He wrote a poem about being alone, and he had foolishly decided to read it to his students during a lecture. They complained to higher authorities, who told Helmholtz that if anything else happened, he would no longer have his position.
